Green Living at Sobriety Home

Sobriety Home Drug & Alcohol Rehab Center is an eco-conscious rehabilitation centerLiving in the countryside has given us a deep appreciation for Mother Nature. When you are surrounded by nature in all its beauty and witness its calming effects, you want to do everything you can to preserve it. At the Sobriety Home Drug Rehab and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Center we have discovered that even the smallest steps, when taken over again, are sometimes the most powerful—this is equally true of your addiction treatment.

We at Sobriety Home try to act in the most eco-conscious way we can, taking as many small steps as we can possibly take to help preserve the earth.

Geothermal Heating

Sobriety Home Drug Rehab and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Center uses a geothermal heating system to heat our residences during the cold months, and to cool them during the heat of the summer. Geothermal heating is a clean, renewable energy source that significantly reduces our energy consumption, greenhouse gases, and other air pollutants.

It is just one of the many ways we reduce our carbon footprint.

Carbon Offsetting

To further reduce our overall carbon footprint, we also regularly purchase carbon offsets to mitigate our carbon emissions.

Sustainable Food, Locally

As we are located in the country, we are surrounded by a host of wonderful local farmers. At Sobriety Home, we only purchase and serve organic foods from these local farmers. Natural food, rich in nutrients, not only helps heal your body and control cravings, it also aids us in our composting activities.

Composts

At Sobriety Home Drug Rehab and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Center, all of our natural waste products are composted and used to naturally fertilize and fortify our lands.

Natural Cleaning Products

We take care to use only natural cleaning products, including biological soaps, to ensure that the wastewater produced at Sobriety Home doesn’t pollute the surrounding ground water.
